About
ACCESS NL is a not-for-profit organisation staffed by volunteers, many of them internationals who moved to the Netherlands themselves. It was established in 1986 as the Administrative Committee to Coordinate English Speaking Services and has worked with the international community here since. Its main service is a free helpdesk: people can ask about relocating to the Netherlands, housing, healthcare, education and about leaving the country again, and get an answer in English by telephone or through the helpdesk page. It is present in The Hague, Amsterdam, Amstelveen and Utrecht, and its registered address is Lange Voorhout 12 in The Hague, with the Chamber of Commerce number 41154401. Alongside the helpdesk it maintains a public information site organised by topic, operates a counselling referral service, and runs practical courses including childbirth preparation and first aid training. It is neither a government body nor a commercial relocation company.
