About
AgriFood Capital is the regional economic development organisation for Noordoost-Brabant, in the northeast of the province of Noord-Brabant. It works through two bodies: a foundation in which companies, knowledge institutions and governments set the direction, and an operating company that carries the work out. Ten municipalities take part: Bernheze, Boekel, Boxtel, Land van Cuijk, Maashorst, Meierijstad, Oss, 's-Hertogenbosch, Sint-Michielsgestel and Vught. Its subject is food and agriculture in a broad sense, with named focus areas of agritech, foodtech, biotech and pharma. In practice it runs innovation and knowledge projects, supports startups and smaller companies in the sector, connects businesses with education partners in the region, and keeps standing facilities such as an open air agricultural test site. It is a support organisation rather than a public authority, and it publishes in Dutch.
What they offer
- Connections between businesses, education and research institutions and the ten regional municipalities
Good to know
- Its geography is Noordoost-Brabant and the ten municipalities that take part. A business elsewhere in the Netherlands falls outside its remit.
- It publishes in Dutch and describes no service aimed at people who have recently moved to the Netherlands. Expect to work in Dutch or to bring someone who can.
- It supports businesses and projects rather than individuals, so it does not help with jobs, permits, housing or registration.
