About
AI-hub Noord-Nederland is the regional artificial intelligence network for the north of the Netherlands, based in Groningen. It is one of the seven regional hubs of the national AI coalition for the Netherlands, which names Noord-Nederland among them, and it organises its work around that coalition's five building blocks: data sharing, human capital, human-centred artificial intelligence, research and innovation, and startups and scale-ups. It is a regional arm rather than a fully independent body, and it publishes no chamber of commerce number or legal form. What belongs to it is the regional work. Its team is drawn from organisations including Hanze University of Applied Sciences, the University of Groningen, TNO, Philips and the UMCG. Its stated audience is entrepreneurs, knowledge institutions, other organisations and government bodies rather than individual members of the public. Its practical activities are developing public-private innovation projects at a high technology readiness level, business development support, coordination between startups and education, advice on contract and project development, and courses and events. The application areas it names are agriculture, industry, energy, maritime, safety, healthcare, the built environment and mobility.
What they offer
- Business development support and advice on contracts and project development
Good to know
- It addresses entrepreneurs, knowledge institutions, organisations and public bodies. It is not a service for individual members of the public and runs no personal advice line.
- Its five building blocks come from the national AI coalition; the coalition's own national programmes are separate and are not delivered through this hub.
- Its remit is the northern Netherlands, and everything it publishes is in Dutch, with no English version of the site.
