Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.
Eligibility is defined by the university rather than by nationality. A student or recent graduate of the University of Amsterdam or Vrije Universiteit can apply, which lowers the barrier for someone with no track record or investor network in the Netherlands.
About
ASIF Ventures is a venture capital fund in Amsterdam that is run by students. Its site says it was set up in 2017 by students because established investors would not back founders at that stage. It invests in early-stage companies started by students and recent graduates of the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit, and it says it connects founders with resources, a network and guidance rather than with money alone. The fund is organised with a board covering managing, investment, fund operations, finance and legal, and marketing responsibilities, supported by fellows working on deal flow and marketing and by an advisory board of lawyers, entrepreneurs and company executives. It also runs XLerate, a six-week accelerator in Amsterdam for founders who already have a product built and are ready to take it to customers. XLerate offers workspace at XLerate House, weekly one-to-one mentoring from specialists, pairing with partners who test the product in real conditions, and PitchXL, a pitch competition for students in front of investors and operators. The fund gives its location as Science Park 608 in Amsterdam.
