Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.
It is the organisation behind the libraries rather than a library you visit. Reading, language and digital skills programmes are run by the local library organisations it supports.
About
Biblionet Drenthe is a Dutch stichting with ANBI status, registered under Chamber of Commerce number 41017595 and based in Assen. It has two combined roles. First, it is the library organisation for nine Drenthe municipalities, Aa en Hunze, Borger-Odoorn, Coevorden, De Wolden, Meppel, Midden-Drenthe, Noordenveld, Tynaarlo and Westerveld, operating under the BIND Bibliotheken brand. Second, it is the official provinciale ondersteuningsinstelling, the provincial support institution, for all library organisations across Drenthe, a role that covers BIND Bibliotheken plus Facet Emmen, DNK and Bibliotheek Hoogeveen. In that support role its own listed activities are mainly internal and organisational: marketing and communications, IT infrastructure including a shared library system, human resources for the staff and volunteers of the libraries province-wide, secretariat and financial administration. It is governed by a supervisory board and an executive board following the Governance Code Culture, and it describes its aim as connecting people, communities, knowledge and stories.
What they offer
- Provincial support institution for the four Drenthe library organisations: BIND Bibliotheken, Facet Emmen, DNK and Bibliotheek Hoogeveen
Good to know
- Its own pages do not describe programmes for newcomers, language learning or digital skills. Those are delivered by the individual local libraries it supports.
- Its library role covers nine Drenthe municipalities, and its provincial support role covers all four Drenthe library organisations.
