Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.

More about where our information comes from

A daily walk-in space rather than an appointment service. Dutch classes, informal meeting activities and skills courses run through the week, led by volunteers who already live in the city.

About

BOOST, formally Stichting BOOST voor Vluchtelingen, is a Dutch foundation with ANBI status and CBF certification, registered under Chamber of Commerce number 68295596 and based at Danie Theronstraat 2 in Amsterdam, in a former community centre built in 1975 to a design by the architect Pi de Bruijn. It was founded in 2016 by a group of Amsterdam residents who wanted to use the city's own capacity for informal integration. BOOST organises its activities around three pillars. Ontmoeting covers informal social meetings, self-study space and a daily lunch. Taal covers daily Dutch classes, a themed language cafe, language coaching and language theatre. Ontwikkeling covers changing skills activities such as computer lessons, cycling lessons, boxing and sewing courses. Volunteers work alongside a small paid office team, pairing newcomers with people who have lived in the city longer.
