Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. More about where our information comes from

Its mandate is unusual in the Netherlands. It funds female or female co-led founding teams specifically, rather than acting as a general early-stage investor open to any team.

About

Borski Fund is a Dutch venture capital fund built around closing the gender funding gap: it invests specifically in startups that are female-led or female co-led. It operates through two related legal entities, Borski Fund Cooperatief U.A. and Borski Management B.V., both based in Amsterdam. The fund backs companies from early stage through to growth and scale-up, concentrated in three sectors, Women's Health, Climate Technology and Future Society Technology, with a geographic focus on Western Europe and the United Kingdom. It describes itself as an active rather than a passive investor, working alongside the founders it backs and connecting them with advisors, talent and customers as well as providing capital. Borski Fund began as a joint venture between the StartGreen Capital group and The Next Women, and it is named after Johanna Borski, a nineteenth century Dutch investor. It publishes a portfolio of the companies it has backed and accepts pitches from founders through its website.
