About
Brainport Bike School is a cycling instruction programme rather than a standalone organisation. It runs as part of a regional mobility initiative for employers in the Brainport region, and its own page describes it as an initiative of a chip manufacturer and a university of applied sciences, delivered together with a cycling instruction provider. It is aimed at international students and employees in the region who are unfamiliar with Dutch cycling and traffic rules. It offers two modules. The first, for absolute beginners, is five lessons over three sessions covering balance, braking and navigating traffic, using bicycles the programme provides. The second, for people who have completed the basics, is three lessons over three sessions on cycling in the city, for which participants bring their own bike. People can register through their employer or educational institution, or individually through the delivery partner's website. The initiative publishes no Chamber of Commerce number or legal entity name of its own.
