Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Its coaching and campus facilities are free, and it states that innovations from abroad are welcome as well as those from the Netherlands, so a founder or researcher who has moved to Limburg can use it.
About
Brightlands Startup League is a joint startup support initiative for the Limburg region, launched in March 2024 by the four Brightlands innovation campuses together with Maastricht University, the regional development company and the Province of Limburg, which finances it. It functions as a single access point through which entrepreneurs and scientists can reach business development specialists from the campuses, the development company and the university. What it offers is free personal coaching, a programme of masterclasses through the year, networking events, and use of professional facilities across the four campuses. It is aimed at people turning a research or business idea into a startup or scale-up, including researchers who want to commercialise academic work, in the fields of health, sustainability and digitalisation. Participation is open to founders based in Limburg and to innovations from elsewhere in the Netherlands or abroad, provided they connect to those themes. It is not a separate legal entity: it is a collaborative programme operated jointly by its partners, and its web presence sits inside the shared Brightlands site.
What they offer
- Masterclasses for entrepreneurs through the year
- Networking events
- Use of professional facilities across the four campuses
Good to know
- It is a programme operated jointly by its partners, not a body of its own, with no separate registration, address or contact route.
- Its themes are health, sustainability and digitalisation, and its campuses are in Limburg.
- It coordinates access to specialists at the partner organisations rather than delivering the support itself.
