About
Campus Groningen operates two campus locations in the city of Groningen: the Zernike site and a campus focused on health innovation, both sharing the same management and contact details. Its stated purpose is to bring companies, research institutes, educational institutions and students together so that exchanging and pooling expertise becomes part of daily practice. On the entrepreneurship side it runs a staged track for founders launching and scaling ventures, offers space for companies to establish themselves physically on campus, and provides financing support including a campus community fund. On the research side it supports the work of turning academic research into practical or commercial use, with partners including the University of Groningen, the local university of applied sciences, the university medical centre, the province and the municipality. It serves entrepreneurs, researchers, students and companies located across its campuses rather than individual newcomers.
What they offer
- Financing support including a campus community fund
- Support for turning research into practical or commercial use, with the partner institutions
Programmes
- Start and Grow, a staged track for founders
Good to know
- It serves the two campus sites in Groningen and the organisations on them.
- It works with entrepreneurs, researchers, students and companies rather than with individual newcomers, and states no relocation, permit or immigration service.
- Its funding support is a campus fund with its own criteria, not a general grant route.
