About

The Centre for Sustainable Entrepreneurship is an academic centre at Campus Fryslan, the University of Groningen's campus in Leeuwarden. Its work spans education, research and societal engagement around sustainable entrepreneurship and the circular economy. On the education side it offers a pre-master and a full master's programme in Sustainable Entrepreneurship, structured around designing, implementing and managing sustainable organisations plus a leadership project, together with a Sustainable Startup Academy for which its own pages give no further public detail. Its research covers new business models for sustainable entrepreneurship and the circular economy, carried out with doctoral researchers and published through a working paper series, and it runs recurring activities including a North Sea innovation challenge. Its societal engagement includes consultancy for regional organisations, a Council of Commitment, and a partnership with the Frisian circular economy association. It states that it serves students, business leaders, scholars, policymakers and citizens.
