Collin Crowdfund, legally Collin Crowdfund N.V., is a Dutch crowdlending platform based in Oisterwijk in Noord-Brabant. It matches entrepreneurs who want a business loan with a network of individual and professional investors who fund those loans through the platform. Loan sizes run from about 120,000 to 2.5 million euros over terms of up to 72 months, for purposes including working capital, property, refinancing existing loans, business takeovers and equipment. Loan applications are assessed by an internal credit committee before they are opened for investors to fund, and the platform also offers a faster financing option called Collin Direct. Investors are offered guidance from what the site calls Crowdfund Coaches. The site states that it is also active in Germany under the name Collin Duitsland. This is a commercial lending platform rather than a grant scheme or a public fund: businesses that borrow pay interest, and investors take on credit risk in exchange for a return.
