About
The Data Science Center in Health is the central hub for data science, artificial intelligence and eHealth at University Medical Center Groningen. It is organised around three areas. Research gives the medical centre's researchers methodological support through named facilities including an information technology laboratory with high performance workstations and training, an artificial intelligence think tank, an annual project grant, a digital healthcare network, and a laboratory examining the ethical, legal and societal aspects of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Education offers training including a digital literacy programme for staff, a teaching team for bachelor's students, international learning modules and a bootcamp for professionals. The third area is implementing data science and artificial intelligence solutions inside the medical centre's own operations. It is presented throughout as a facility of the medical centre's research organisation rather than a separately registered body, and its stated audience is the centre's own researchers, clinicians, staff and students.
