Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.

More about where our information comes from

Activities are marked with the Dutch level they suit, so a beginner knows in advance which session to join rather than arriving and finding out.

About

Dutch Language Cafe is a cafe and meeting place at Herengracht 13A in The Hague, registered under Chamber of Commerce number 84598662. It describes itself as a place where people of different nationalities come together, feel at home, have fun and speak Dutch. Its founder based the idea on picking up Spanish by working in a bar and talking to customers, so the method is built on using the language rather than studying it. Courses run at three levels, for beginners, pre-intermediates and intermediates, with a separate course for au pairs and a level check for people who are not sure where they stand. Around these sit study clubs and a weekly programme of activities, each marked with the Dutch level it suits: short chat sessions, a language exchange evening covering several languages, deep conversation in advanced Dutch, word games, board games, walks, an art club and an open mic. The premises are also used for co-working and co-studying and can be rented, and there is a shop.
