Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.

More about where our information comes from

It exists for people who moved here and have to rebuild a career in a new country, so its coaching, mentoring and networking run in English and are priced below commercial equivalents.

About

The Empowerment Foundation is a Dutch foundation, registered as Empower Amsterdam Stichting, that works with international professionals looking for work in the Netherlands. It was started in 2015 by three people who wanted to help newcomers build a career here, and it now runs on a volunteer network whose teams span more than fifteen countries and languages. For individuals it offers coaching programmes, mentorship, networking and events, and it states that being a nonprofit lets it price these below commercial providers. For companies it provides executive and leadership coaching, team programmes, work on inclusion and integration at work, and outplacement. People can also join as volunteers, sponsor an event or donate. Its income comes from donations, ticket sales, programme payments and sponsors, and it publishes annual reports going back to 2017. It is based in Amsterdam and works across the Netherlands. Its site, including the programme and contact pages, is in English.

What they offer

Good to know

  • Its programmes and events are paid, although it states that its nonprofit position keeps the price below commercial providers.
  • It works on careers. It handles nothing to do with residence permits, registration or housing.
  • It is a foundation working through volunteers, so what is running at any time depends on the people available.
