Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. More about where our information comes from

Because sessions are online, someone who has just arrived can start without waiting to find a local practice, and can keep the same counsellor after moving on again.

About

Expat Nest is a commercial counselling practice that works only online, so a client can keep the same counsellor after moving country. It is run from the Netherlands, with a Dutch telephone number and office hours in Central European Time, and it works with people living internationally. Counselling is delivered by a network of counsellors in different countries who speak languages in addition to English. The offer is split into counselling for adults, counselling for teenagers, and support for parents. The issues its services page lists are stress and anxiety, depression and low mood, love and relationships, family and parenting, grief and loss, loneliness, homesickness and relocation, life transitions, identity and belonging, work and career, and health problems. New clients start with a free fifteen minute introductory session booked through a contact form. Counsellors do not prescribe medication and refer people to a doctor where that may be needed. Fees are paid privately, although the site says that some Dutch supplementary insurance packages and some international insurers reimburse part of the cost. Workshops on workplace and family wellbeing are also sold to organisations that employ international staff.
