About
Foodvalley NL is a foundation based on Wageningen Campus that works towards a more sustainable and fairer food system. It describes its role as organising and initiating rather than producing: it convenes farmers, producers, retailers, investors and policymakers, identifies barriers in the market, and builds multi-year programmes and joint projects out of them. The work is organised into communities that partners can join: the Protein Community, the Healthier Food Community, the Regenerative Agriculture Community and the Upcycling Community, with the last two grouped under circular agrifood. It also runs Foodleap, an online platform where registered partners find each other, see which research equipment and innovation facilities exist in agrifood, and exchange questions and knowledge. Partnership is the main way to work with it, and separate routes are described for startups, scale-ups and SMEs, for large companies, for government institutions, for foundations and other donors, and for private individuals who want to leave a legacy.
