About
FORWARD.one is a venture capital investor based at Dorpsstraat 28 in Amstelveen. It backs companies working on industrial technology and names five areas: robotics, semiconductors, quantum, dual use and energy. Its published method has two steps. First it invests early, with initial amounts of up to four million euros, in a technology with a small founding team behind it. Then it concentrates follow-on money, up to thirty million euros, on the companies that demonstrate they can commercialise, which it sums up as following the performance rather than the plan. It states that technology without commercialisation is only expensive science, and that it works with the companies it funds on reaching the market rather than investing passively. Founders are invited to pitch and investors can apply to join a fund. The legal entity behind the brand is FORWARD.one Management BV, and its privacy statement says its security measures are supervised by the Dutch central bank, the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets and the Dutch data protection authority.
