About
Frint is a community project for internationals in Leeuwarden and the province of Friesland. It is run by a group of internationals rather than by a company or a public body, and no legal entity is named anywhere on its site. Its starting point is that Friesland is a good place to live but that international social life there is hard to find, so Frint collects English friendly meetups and events in one place. The meetups are hosted by members of the community in their own time. Most are free, although a host may ask for money to cover materials or a reservation, and any price is shown on the event page. Visitors make a free account so they can sign up for a meetup and cancel if they cannot come. Frint also helps moderate an Internationals in Friesland WhatsApp community alongside Instagram and Facebook pages, and states that this WhatsApp community is run by volunteers and is not owned by or affiliated with Frint or any company. Dutch and Frisian residents who want to meet people from other countries are welcome to join as well.
