This health service publishes a page written in English specifically for expats and migrant workers, plus a site wide translation button and multilingual leaflets, including one explaining how healthcare in the Netherlands is organised. Someone who has moved to Eindhoven or another of the 21 municipalities can use it to find out in their own language what the GGD does and how to reach youth health care, the travel clinic or care for sexually transmitted infections.

GGD Brabant-Zuidoost is a municipal health service, the kind of public body that Dutch municipalities set up together to carry out public health tasks for their area. This one is run under the management of the 21 municipalities of Zuidoost-Brabant, the region around Eindhoven, and its stated aim is to monitor, protect and encourage the health and wellbeing of everyone living there. It is not a hospital and not a family doctor practice. The activities it names include youth health care, which parents of young children use regularly; a travel clinic that gives advice, vaccinations and tests to people travelling to tropical countries; testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections; support for local initiatives that help people live more healthily; and ambulance care that carries people to and from hospitals. It says it pays particular attention to residents whose health is under extra pressure. For people who do not read Dutch, the service keeps an English page addressed to expats and migrant workers, a button that translates the whole site into a chosen language, and leaflets in several languages about ambulance care, youth health care, what the GGD itself is, how healthcare in the Netherlands works and how to report worrying behaviour.
