Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. About

The Green Entrepreneurship Centre is a knowledge centre inside Van Hall Larenstein, a Dutch university of applied sciences teaching in Leeuwarden and Velp. Its pages are published on the university website rather than on a domain of its own, and it presents itself as a centre inside the school rather than as a separate body. It trains and guides entrepreneurial students, alumni and people preparing to start a business, and it backs start-ups and projects in sustainable business. It is open to every student and graduate of the school whatever subject they studied. It also takes assignments and questions from existing companies, alumni, government bodies and consultancy firms working on sustainable entrepreneurship. In practice it provides personal coaching, idea labs, network meetings, technical facilities, small loans it calls microcredits, and a taught minor in sustainable entrepreneurship. Its work is grouped into four themes: doing business across borders, social enterprise, entrepreneurship inside existing organisations, and circular economy projects. It works through two named regional collaborations with other institutions.

What they offer

  • Idea labs and technical facilities for start-ups

Good to know

  • Its coaching, idea labs and microcredits are for students and graduates of Van Hall Larenstein. Someone with no link to the school is outside its audience.
  • It is a centre inside the university rather than a separate body, so contact and contracting run through the school.
  • It publishes nothing on residence, registration, housing or Dutch administration.
