About
Growing Emmen is an entrepreneurs community and workspace in Emmen, in the southeast of the province of Drenthe. It describes itself as an ondernemersbroedplaats, a place where new and renewed entrepreneurship is hatched, and its stated working idea is that business owners get further by meeting each other than by working alone. Membership is the main product: members join a mixed group of local business owners, use a members app, take part in interest groups called Circles, attend member events, get a free flexible working day each month and pay less to rent workspace. It also lets flexible desks, private offices and meeting rooms, including a room fitted out for a medical examiner. It works with the municipalities of Emmen, Coevorden and Borger-Odoorn, with NHL Stenden, Drenthe College and Hondsrug College on entrepreneurship in education, and with regional business bodies.

A seven-month track for people starting a business, with an entrepreneur coach, six group sessions combining content with peer review, membership for the duration of the track, and a personal budget to spend on knowledge and advice.
