Health Investment Partners, which calls itself HIP, is a commercial investment firm based on Overschiestraat in Amsterdam. It invests in companies working in Dutch healthcare and states its reasoning plainly: care costs have risen sharply while demand keeps growing, so affordability is under pressure, and it therefore wants to back companies that improve prevention, efficiency or the quality of care. The four things it says it looks at are a strong team founded and led by entrepreneurs who want to keep building, a business model aimed at long-term value creation, durable impact alongside a financial return, and a clear growth plan. It describes what it adds as knowledge of the healthcare market, a large network and hands-on involvement rather than money alone, and it says it offers the investors in its fund a return.
