Healthy.Capital is a venture capital investor with an office at W.G. Plein in Amsterdam. It is a commercial firm rather than a public funding body, and it invests seed capital in companies working on digital health. It names the problems it invests against as staff shortages in care, rising healthcare costs, ageing populations, the growth of chronic disease and inefficiency in the system. Most of those companies serve patients and care providers inside the Dutch health system. The firm states that it prefers to back a team rather than a business plan, and that it adds sector knowledge and contacts alongside the money. It was founded by four partners with backgrounds in health and care, investing and technology.
