Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.

More about where our information comes from

Before investing it says it works from the documents and the numbers a company already runs on, instead of a pitch deck or an investor model, and goes from a first meeting to a signed term sheet in days.

About

henQ is a venture capital fund that backs early stage business to business companies in Europe, in practice software platforms. It describes its first investments as up to 10 million euro and says it makes roughly two new ones a year rather than spreading small amounts across many companies. Its stated preference is for businesses other investors pass over: markets that others find dull, business models that look unusual, or founders with an unusual degree of focus on the problem. After investing it offers help with hiring, with the next fundraise and with setting goals, says it will not push for influence over how the business is run, and states that it will not back a competitor of a company already in its portfolio. The portfolio it publishes is software platforms in areas including customer data and campaigns, hospitality, e-commerce shipping, staff canteens, parking, contract management, staffing, market research and sustainability reporting, alongside a number of companies it has since sold. Its website is a single page.

Good to know

  • It says it makes about two new investments a year, so the number of companies it can take on is small.
  • It states that it will not invest in a competitor of a company already in its portfolio.
  • Its site publishes no address, telephone number, email address or country, so no office location can be confirmed from it.
