Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. More about where our information comes from

Its criteria are specific enough to check against before making contact: business customers, roughly one to five million euros of sales, limited factory scale-up risk, and an advantage on both cost and carbon.

About

Icos Capital is a venture capital investor in the Netherlands. Its stated target is to back technologies that can reduce or avoid one gigatonne of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions by 2050, and it says every investment must deliver measurable emission reduction that it tracks through the life of the holding. It invests in three areas: food systems, chemicals and materials, and decarbonisation. It looks for companies that can scale, that already sell to business customers at roughly one to five million euros of sales, that carry limited factory scale-up risk, and that hold an advantage on both cost and carbon, and it writes first investments of one to five million euros. Its focus is European companies, plus companies from the United States or Asia with substantial European operations. Alongside the money it runs a Collaborative Venturing Platform that brings the companies it funds together with large corporations to arrange growth finance, engineering and production expertise, infrastructure and market access. It is a member of Invest Europe and of the Dutch private equity and venture capital association.

What they offer

Good to know

  • A commercial investor. Whether a company fits and whether it invests are its decisions alone.
  • It invests in companies rather than supporting individuals, and offers nothing related to moving to, settling in or working in the Netherlands.
  • No legal entity name, legal form, Chamber of Commerce number or telephone number is published on the pages read, and its contact path returns a not found error.
