Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.

About

Ik Ben Drents Ondernemer is the business support programme for entrepreneurs in Drenthe, in the north-east of the Netherlands. It is a provincial programme rather than a private consultancy: its privacy policy names the province of Drenthe as the body responsible for the personal data it processes, and it publishes no legal entity, foundation or registration number of its own. What it does under its own name is match a business owner to an adviser. The owner picks a theme, and the programme puts them in touch with someone who can advise on it, help write a plan and bring in a specialist. The themes it lists are starting a business, growth, entrepreneurial skills, innovation, finance, internationalisation and export, greening, digitalisation, family business, recreation and tourism, and defence. It groups this work under three headings it calls smart, green and impact. It also runs network meetings and practical sessions around the province and publishes worked examples of how named Drenthe firms solved specific problems. It works from Assen and Emmen.

What they offer

Good to know

  • The advice is free at the point of contact, but the programme does not award subsidies, grant finance or permits. Those decisions stay with the province, the municipality, the bank or the scheme concerned.
  • It serves businesses located in Drenthe. Entrepreneurs elsewhere in the northern Netherlands are covered by their own provincial or municipal programmes.
  • The website and the intake are in Dutch, with no English version published, so a newcomer who does not read Dutch will usually need help to make first contact.
