About
Impuls Zeeland describes itself as the regional development agency for the province of Zeeland, working to keep companies in the province viable in the long term. Its work is organised around three words: innoveren, investeren and internationaliseren. On innovation it develops programmes and projects with small, medium and large companies around the energy transition, circular raw materials, digitalisation, climate and food, with project teams for agrifood, logistics, manufacturing, the leisure economy and industrial and digital innovation. On investment it manages several funds that lend money or take equity stakes, in amounts from 10,000 to 2,500,000 euro. One of these is the Zeeuws Participatiefonds, which becomes a temporary co-shareholder and expects the company to continue on its own, or to be taken over, after five to eight years. On international work it employs foreign direct investment managers and international trade managers who act as liaison officers for the Enterprise Europe Network, and it takes companies on trade missions. The agency states that its activities are paid for in part by grants from the province of Zeeland, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the Zeeland municipalities. Its office is in Vlissingen.
