Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. About

Inkef is a venture capital firm registered in the Netherlands. It describes itself as an early stage investor that works hands on, meaning it takes a stake and then stays involved in building the company, and says it looks for value over a long horizon rather than a quick return. Its published portfolio covers two quite different fields: software and internet businesses on one side, and companies developing medicines, biotechnology and health technology on the other. A number of the companies it has backed operate outside the Netherlands. Alongside investing, it publishes a sustainability disclosure explaining how environmental, social and governance factors are examined before an investment is made, stating that risks found in that screening can lead to conditions or governance arrangements in a deal, and stating that the firm does not at present report on the negative sustainability effects of its investments. Its site is small: a portfolio list, a team page and that disclosure.

What they offer

  • Early stage venture capital investment
  • Hands on involvement in building the companies it backs

Good to know

  • A commercial fund that describes itself as hands on and long horizon, so taking its money means accepting close and continuing involvement in how the company is built.
  • Its site publishes no application route at all: approaching it depends on an existing introduction rather than an open process.
  • Its site publishes no street address or registration number and gives little public detail beyond the portfolio and the sustainability disclosure.
