Keunstwurk is a stichting with ANBI public benefit status, based on Snekertrekweg in Leeuwarden, working on arts and culture throughout the province of Fryslan. It states its purpose as using art and culture to connect the mienskip, the Frisian word for community, with the cultural sector. Its work is grouped into cultural education, young people and talent development, amateur arts, and visual arts. For schools it places cultuurverbinders who link primary schools with cultural provision, offers tailored classroom projects, and runs a transport scheme so that pupils can reach cultural activities. For amateur groups in music, dance, theatre and singing it organises courses, sector meetings and training for teachers and conductors.
