Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.
Moving to Leiden, Leiderdorp, Voorschoten or Zoeterwoude means booking the municipal registration appointment that produces your citizen service number, and this is where that is arranged.
About
Leiden International Centre calls itself a non-profit organisation supporting international newcomers and their employers in the Leiden region, and it operates as an activity of Leiden&Partners. Its founding partners are Leiden University, the LUMC, Leiden Bio Science Park and Leiden&Partners, and the municipalities of Leiden, Leiderdorp, Voorschoten and Zoeterwoude are its partner municipalities and the area it serves. It sums up its own work in three things: making registration appointments, sharing information and advice, and organising events. For someone who has just arrived, the centre books the first municipal registration that produces a citizen service number, hosts consultations with partner companies about housing and mortgages, and runs regular meet-up evenings. For employers it runs a partnership programme, arranges fast-track registration appointments and registration at the employer's address, hosts a desk of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service, and publishes material on recruiting internationals, recognised sponsorship, visa applications, residence and work permits and tuberculosis testing. It explains that employer focus by pointing at the concentration of research and technology employers in the region.

Good to know
- The centre books appointments and gives advice. Municipalities, the Immigration and Naturalisation Service and other authorities make the statutory decisions.
- Its area is the four partner municipalities: Leiden, Leiderdorp, Voorschoten and Zoeterwoude. Arrivals elsewhere register with their own municipality.
- It operates as an activity of Leiden&Partners and publishes no separate legal entity or registration number of its own.
- The housing and mortgage consultations are held with partner companies, whose services are commercial and on their own terms.
