About
Lentis is a specialist mental health organisation with locations spread across the north of the Netherlands and a number of places beyond it. Its own location list names Groningen, Delfzijl, Hoogezand, Winschoten, Veendam, Stadskanaal, Winsum, Warffum, Leek and Zuidlaren, together with Emmen, Hoogeveen, Drachten, Zwolle, Enschede, Apeldoorn, Arnhem and Hilversum. It states that for people living in the province of Groningen it is there in a crisis at any hour of the day, every day of the week. The problems it names include ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder and personality disorders, and it treats every age group, with a separate strand for psychiatry in older people and for dementia. Care is given at outpatient clinics, at home through FACT teams and in clinics where a person is admitted, and it also provides long-term care and supported housing. Named treatment methods include cognitive behavioural therapy, psychotherapy, EMDR and dramatherapy. Two parts of the organisation carry their own names: Jonx for youth mental health and autism care, and Forint for forensic psychiatric care.
