Lumaux is a seed stage investment fund with its registered address on the Achtseweg Zuid in Eindhoven, in the Brainport region. The legal entity is Lumaux Cooperatie U.A. Its vehicle, the Lumaux Dutch Tech Fund, is a seed fund of about 15 million euro. It writes tickets of 250,000 to 1.5 million euro, takes minority shareholdings, works to a five to seven year horizon, and keeps a small portfolio so that it can spend time on each company. It invests only in companies based in the Netherlands, and names three fields: robotics for inspection, maintenance, healthcare, agriculture, cleaning and logistics; the energy transition, covering powertrains, batteries and hydrogen; and mobility, covering electric and autonomous vehicles and their components. It says it looks for companies that combine a software and a hardware product, that already have paying customers, and that work in a growing market. Beyond capital it offers itself as a sparring partner on commercial strategy, finance and legal questions.
