Migration Inc., formerly trading as Cultuur in Harmonie, is based in Zeewolde and works on migration, integration, community building and inclusion. Its team members are intercultural specialists with their own migration background. It describes its method as parallel: it works with newcomers and with the Dutch professionals around them at the same time, and it puts its focus on status holders and on migrant women. For refugees and migrants it runs tailored training on healthcare in the Netherlands, sexuality and maternity care, the Dutch education system, cultural differences, parenting between two cultures, mental health and psychosocial support, managing money, and finding and keeping a job. For professionals it runs training, workshops, lectures and storytelling sessions on intercultural communication, aimed at healthcare staff, civil servants, youth care, family judges, teachers, language volunteers and employers. It supplies cultural mediators to municipalities and social organisations, and interpreters and translators, most often in Tigrinya, Saho, Tigre, Bilen, Amharic, Oromo and Arabic dialects. It also advises policymakers and organisations on inclusive policy, and offers counselling in conflicts about housing, schooling or family.
