About
Move Energy is a venture capital fund with an office in Amsterdam that puts money into companies whose products cut carbon emissions, sorting that work into three sectors: power, transport and buildings. It names Series A as its main stage but says it will also look at late seed and Series B rounds. Initial investments run into the low millions of euros, with more reserved for follow-on rounds in companies it already backs. Hardware companies, software companies and combinations of the two are all in scope, which matters in energy where much of the technology is physical. Geographically it invests throughout Europe while describing a strong focus on the Netherlands. Besides money, the fund says it offers knowledge of the energy sector, experience with transactions, contacts across the sector, and help with structuring finance for companies carrying heavy hardware costs.
