Newion is a venture capital firm in Amsterdam. Its own account says it has invested for over 25 years, that it backs companies at seed and Series A stage, that it usually puts in between one and ten million euros, that it joins rounds of up to twenty million, and that it invests across European digital technology. The firm sets out a deliberate way of deciding: start from how work is actually done in a market and where it breaks down, look for patterns repeated across many companies rather than drawing conclusions from a single case, and say plainly when a decision is not yet clear. After investing it says it stays close to founders to help with sequencing and trade-offs during the first twelve to eighteen months, without running the companies itself. The team is described as compact.
