Ontwikkelingsbedrijf Noord-Holland Noord, written ONHN, is a regional development company set up as a naamloze vennootschap and acting as the economic delivery organisation for sixteen municipalities in Noord-Holland Noord together with the province of Noord-Holland. Its Ondernemersservice takes questions from business owners about staff, rules or investment and puts them in touch with experts and organisations that can answer them. A second strand brings companies on the same business park together on sustainability, accessibility, safety and appearance. Alongside these it runs projects under four themes: work and learning, sustainability and circularity, technology and digitalisation, and energy and business climate, with extra weight on the regional sectors agri and food, water and maritime, and energy. It coaches entrepreneurs bringing an idea to market, advises on subsidies and arranges them at cluster level for groups of companies rather than individuals, introduces entrepreneurs to banks, funds, crowdfunding and informal investors, and helps with premises and permits. Its service is free and the only condition is a link with the region.
