About
Oost NL, in English the East Netherlands Development Agency, works to strengthen the economy of the provinces of Gelderland and Overijssel. It is commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and by the two provinces, and it helps carry out their economic policy by connecting companies, knowledge institutes, regional bodies and city governments. Its work has three strands. Internationalisation covers foreign investment: it gives companies from abroad, or from elsewhere in the Netherlands, a soft landing in the region, opens up regional networks, helps find premises from laboratories to offices, factories, warehouses and shared facilities, arranges fact-finding visits and bidbooks, and helps regional small and medium businesses trade abroad. Development and Innovation helps small and medium businesses bring new products to market with knowledge, networks and access to funding, including European funds, and works on campuses and open innovation centres. Capital invests risk money in starting and growing companies through revolving funds. Its services to entrepreneurs are described as free and confidential.
