About
Open Dutch Doors is a commercial consultancy registered in the Netherlands under Chamber of Commerce number 86008153 and run by a single Dutch consultant. It sells career and settling-in services to highly educated internationals rather than acting as a public or charitable service. The work is grouped into three blocks. Market Fit examines whether a person is allowed to work in the Netherlands, whether a work and residence permit is needed, whether the profession is regulated, whether foreign qualifications can be recognised and given a Dutch title, and what additional training might be worth doing. Find and Get Work covers where Dutch vacancies are found, including roles that are never advertised publicly, how to apply, and what to expect from interviews and assessment centres. Settle In Smoothly explains Dutch banking, tax and healthcare, importing a car and obtaining a Dutch driving licence, and the order in which those steps happen, with an optional package covering children's care and schooling. The client groups it names are mid-career and senior professionals, partners of people posted to the Netherlands, people already working here who want a next step, orientation year graduates, and employers.
