About
Pitchdrive is an early stage venture capital firm whose head office is in Antwerp, in Belgium. Its contact page lists a second Belgian office in Ghent and further addresses in Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona, London and New York. It invests at pre-seed and seed stage with first cheques of about 250,000 to 2 million euro, and says the fund is backed privately by entrepreneurs rather than by institutional investors. It describes itself as operator led, meaning its partners have run companies themselves, and it publishes a pool of founders and operators from European technology companies who mentor the businesses it backs. It says founders who do well in its portfolio come back later as mentors and as investors in the fund. It calls itself industry agnostic but names four areas it looks at: business to business software, consumer products and apps, marketplaces with network effects, and hardware whose value sits in the software, such as robotics and connected devices.
