About
Positron Ventures is a venture capital fund based in Amsterdam, registered as Positron Ventures B.V. with an office on the Fred. Roeskestraat. It invests at pre-seed and seed stage in science based companies in Europe. It says it backs teams from day one and is often their first investor, and that beyond money it helps with the work of building a company around the science. The people it addresses are scientists who become entrepreneurs, across the natural sciences. The portfolio it publishes shows the kind of work it funds: a company growing milk from cow cells, a battery maker using iron, water and air for long duration storage, a fusion company building a stellarator, a company designing a thorium molten salt reactor able to run on long lived nuclear waste, a cancer treatment aimed at the blood vessels that feed tumours, and a quantum computing company built on neutral atoms.
