Prime Ventures invests in technology companies in Europe. Its Dutch office is at Apollolaan 171C in Amsterdam and it has a second one at Wellington House on East Road in Cambridge, in the United Kingdom. The firm says it has been investing since 1999 and that its money is meant to help founders scale a business that already exists rather than to start one from nothing. It groups its work into five areas: marketplaces, software sold as a subscription, financial technology, consumer businesses and deep technology. The portfolio it publishes gives a sense of that range, including the food delivery company Takeaway.com, the holiday rental search site Holidu, the cross border payments company TerraPay, the digital risk company CybelAngel and a company working on self driving technology. It describes its own staff as a small international team. Its contact page gives the two office addresses and nothing else.
