If you are hired under a payroll arrangement, Randstad rather than the company where you work each day is your legal employer, so your contract, wages, payslips and pay during sickness come from Randstad.
About
Randstad Payroll Solutions is the payroll service line of Randstad in the Netherlands. It has no website of its own: its pages sit in the employers section of the Randstad site alongside temporary staffing, secondment and recruitment. In a payroll arrangement the client organisation finds, selects and directs its own workers, but those workers hold their employment contract with Randstad. Randstad then pays wages, issues payslips, processes sickness and recovery notifications, keeps paying during illness, and carries the legal duties of being the employer, including those set by the Dutch law on balance in the labour market. Under that law payroll workers must receive the same primary and secondary employment conditions, and an equivalent pension arrangement, as the client's own personnel. Four packages are offered: a digital one built on a self service portal for contracts, hours and invoices, one that adds onboarding, a conversation cycle and absence prevention, one that adds advice, a regional adviser and quarterly reviews, and one combining all three. This is a paid commercial service for employers rather than a public or free one.

Good to know
