About
REWIN West-Brabant is a regional development organisation in Breda that works on the economy of West-Brabant, a region of sixteen municipalities in the west of the province of Noord-Brabant. Its own pages describe the role as connecting people and organisations, arranging cooperation between parties that do not know each other, making finance possible, sharing knowledge and turning ambitions into projects that can be measured. It works in the pattern Dutch regions call the triple helix: business, knowledge institutions and government together. It states that the Economic Board West-Brabant, whose members come from business, government and education and knowledge institutions, is the body that commissions its work. The work is grouped into four programmes covering plant-based business, circular business models, innovation in existing companies that want to work more cleanly and smartly through new technology, and support for young companies that want to grow. Around these it offers funding routes, coaching, workshops and introductions.
