Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.

More about where our information comes from

It is an investor that selects which companies it backs, so this is a funding route for a founder already building something rather than an open scheme anyone can use.

About

Rockstart is a private accelerator and investment business with its main office in Amsterdam and further offices in Copenhagen and Bogota. It was founded in 2011 as an accelerator for early-stage companies and has since moved towards seed investing and longer support for the founders it backs. Its work is organised by field rather than by country: it runs separate funds and programmes for agrifood, for energy and for emerging technology, and describes its investments as running from pre-seed up to series B. A company it selects receives money together with mentoring, strategy support, introductions to markets and access to a network of investors and people who know the field. Around the funds it runs sector networks, one on biochar and one on food circularity, and a climate initiative it calls Forward. It says it backs founders whose businesses are meant to be sustainable or regenerative. Founders apply through the website, and the Latin American part of the business is run from Bogota.
