More about where our information comes from

Its internationalisation team names attracting foreign direct investment as one of its tasks, so a company or founder considering Utrecht or the Gooi en Vechtstreek can approach it for orientation and introductions.

About

ROM Utrecht Region is the regional development company for the province of Utrecht and the Gooi en Vechtstreek. It works with companies, knowledge institutions, investors and public authorities in that area. Its investment side provides finance from three venture funds: Future Health Ventures for life sciences, medical technology and digital health, Earth Ventures for climate, energy and the built environment, and Digital Ventures. Future Health Ventures itself holds three funds, an early phase financing scheme, a startup innovation fund and a participation fund for companies that are already growing, and applicants go through a five-step process that starts with an online financing check and a pitch deck and ends with due diligence and contracts. Its innovation work is organised in three ecosystems: Life Sciences and Health, Earth Valley and New Digital Society. Its international team advises companies from the region that want to sell or set up abroad, runs export accelerator programmes and trade missions, and hosts the Enterprise Europe Network.
