An IT professional who has moved to Groningen, Friesland or Drenthe and works for a member organisation can use the knowledge networks and events to meet counterparts at other northern employers. A person cannot join on their own.
About
Samenwerking Noord is an association that links organisations in the northern Netherlands and the people who work professionally with information technology inside them. Membership is held by organisations rather than by individuals, and members are grouped into six sectors: education and research, health and welfare, transport energy and services, housing corporations, government bodies, and IT services. Each sector has one or more chairs, who meet the executive board and the core team in a members' council every six weeks, and an advisory council of senior figures from northern institutions meets the board twice a year. The working structure is a set of knowledge networks, each on one theme: data science, digital collaboration, privacy and security, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, lean working, and separate networks for chief information officers and chief information security officers. A separate track serves IT professionals up to the age of thirty five. Members share material and questions on an online platform and attend the association's events without an extra charge. Alongside the networks it offers a digital readiness scan, an artificial intelligence readiness scan, a traineeship for data professionals and a management course on strategic and digital leadership.
