About
The Space Business Innovation Centre Noordwijk supports entrepreneurs turning space technology or space data into products and services, most of them for use on Earth. Its main activity is managing ESA BIC Noordwijk, the Dutch centre in the European Space Agency's network of business incubation centres across Europe. The Dutch centre was established at the agency's technical site in 2004 and has been managed from Noordwijk since 2011. Its two year programme offers incentive funding that takes no equity, technical support hours from the agency or its technical partners, business coaching, advice on intellectual property, workshops and introductions to international investors. It is open to startups less than five years old, including companies not yet founded, whose idea has a demonstrable link to space, and the funding is authorised through the national space agency. Around that programme it runs a pre incubation track for founders still validating a plan and a track for companies moving a space business to the Netherlands. Community members use its co working space in Noordwijk.

Good to know
- The incubation programme is for startups less than five years old whose idea has a demonstrable link to space. That link is assessed, not assumed.
- A company must be located in the Netherlands to join the community, though the relocation track exists to help with that step.
- It supports businesses. It does not deal with residence permits, municipal registration or housing.
