Because Settly is bought by employers, someone without a Dutch employment contract cannot arrange the full service themselves. The house-sharing sign-up is the one part an individual can join directly.
About
Settly is a Dutch relocation and global mobility provider, registered as Settly B.V. Its contracts are with employers, mostly the human resources and global mobility teams of Dutch and international technology companies, so the person being relocated uses the service as an end user rather than as the paying customer. The work falls into three areas. Visa and immigration covers work permits, visa applications and renewals, the 30 percent ruling for highly skilled migrants, and annual Dutch income tax returns. Relocation covers travel planning and the home search, delivered through a network of partner suppliers. Settling in covers continued support for the employee and their family after arrival. A shorter package exists for interns, graduates and people on temporary assignment. Alongside the service Settly runs a web platform and a mobile app on which the human resources team and the employee follow the same appointments, deadlines and spending. Separately, a house-sharing sign-up lets professionals create an account themselves, see others who are looking for a flatmate and search for a home together.

Good to know
