From the Flux Forward organisation register · Not edited on this site How we check this

Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.

More about where our information comes from

For someone setting up as self-employed in Nijmegen this combines a desk with free workshops and sparring sessions, though the website, the events and the community all run in Dutch.

About

StartUp Nijmegen is a stichting, a Dutch foundation, that operates a shared workspace at Stationsplein 26 in the centre of Nijmegen, directly beside the central station. People who take a desk get their own key and can come in at any hour, and the building has meeting rooms, a podcast studio and the usual office facilities. The paid workspace is only half of the picture. The foundation also runs an offer that is mostly free of charge for entrepreneurs across the Rijk van Nijmegen area: workshops, events and sparring sessions with its partner organisations, open to people just starting out, freelancers, small business owners, knowledge institutions and experienced entrepreneurs. Its stated aim is to help entrepreneurs develop further and to strengthen the local business ecosystem by investing in people at the start. Visitors can come by to look around, and a free trial day at a desk is offered to people considering it. It presents itself as a meeting place as much as an office.

What they offer

  • Flexible coworking desks with an own key and access at any hour
  • Meeting rooms, podcast studio and office facilities for members
  • Workshops and events for entrepreneurs in the Rijk van Nijmegen area, mostly free of charge
  • Sparring sessions with partner organisations
  • Free trial day at the workspace for people considering membership

Good to know

  • A foundation that sells workspace alongside a largely free public programme, so part of what it offers is paid.
  • Its remit is the Rijk van Nijmegen, the wider area around the city.
  • Its general email address is masked by the site and cannot be read. The published routes are a telephone number, WhatsApp and the postal address.
